My Bio
I am R.Zack Smith I have over 15 years experience as a photographer. What started out in high school on the journalism and yearbook staff has become a serious passion for me and I am pleased to share it with you. Photography for me is not just taking a photograph its about the look of the object rather it be a hillside a model or a dew drop on a leaf. I have been on both sides of the modeling community both as a model and now as a photographer and model scout.
I do most of my shots in as much natural light as I am able to find, I dont use photoshop for more then a few small basic things, not because I dont know how to use it but more because I feel it takes away from the object of the photograph, I started shooting before photoshop (film cameras and dark rooms) so most of my shots are flash-fill or natural light.I look forward to bringing your next photography experience.

This will be the first of what I hope to be many mile stones here on DA.
I know this one is coming close and I just want to take the time now to thank everyone for the views and comments this far.
I promise there are more stuff coming but it may be another month before I get any photos taken, as the harsh part of the snowy/blowy season has hit us.
Hopefully we only have another month in a half left of winter up here and I can get back scheduling shoots :)

Winter slowdowns...

The snow has fallen in my neck of the woods and it had seriously gotten a lot colder. what sucks about this time of year is that most of my photo shoots are out doors and so with the colder weather everything slows down.
Now with that slowdown comes a chance for me to remodel the studio and do some much needed upgrades to some older equipment. One of the things is replacing lighting and backdrops, as well as a couple new programs that I am excited to play with. The new programs that I'm talking about are for some new projects I'm working on and will be working on later.
